family vcation

Write about a family vacation. It can be the best, the worst, the funniest... make sure you describe what happened and make your readers feel like they were there with you.

One of my favorited family vacations was this summer. This summer i went with my dad grandma,brother,sister and two cousins to yellowstone national park. It was a 5 hour car trip from where we left and I knew that i was going to be a big adventure! We drove about an hour and a half and came to bear lake we got rasberry milkshakes and they were so good!!!Then we finnaly after 5 hours of misrable driving in a minivan it was finaly done!!!

We got to Jackson Whole Whyoming and went to this show called The Bar J Wranglers. It was so fun it was dinner and a show of cowboys singing (not my favorite). Then we went to mcdonalds and all the stuff was duble the price of a regular mcdonalds!!! then we stayed in a hotel and went to Yellowstone the next morning we saw some "hot pots" and geisers. Then we went to another hotel that had this awesome water slide! and went to bed.

the next morning was time for us to leave =( . we played on the water slide for 3 hours that morning and it was so fun cause we were the only ones at the pool! so we climbed up the water slide and stopped at the bottom and backed the water up! Then we went to see old faithful but my grandma decided it was to long to wait and it was raining so we let yellowstone and started back home we ate at a dq and it was awesome!

Did you have a favorite story when you were little? If you didn't read as a child, do you think that has affected you in any way? Do you have a favorite story now? Do you think it is important for children to be read to?

My favorite story growing up was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I dont know why i liked that book so much i just thought it was so great! The storie is about a little boy who found a tree and the tree is very nice to him The tree gives him his apples for him to eat then he gives him the wood from his trunk to go build a house and have a family. but in the end theboy does not get a family and the tree says
"I have nothing more to give you then a stump to sit on"
so the boy sits on the tree and stays with the tree for a long time.

I think it is inportant for children to be read to because. They can gain an understanding of grammer and helps them develop a sense of reading when they get older. I think that i am better reader now because i was read to a lot of stories when i was litle.

Tell me about the best book you've ever read. Give me a little of the plot, but spend most of your time telling my why you liked it and what specifically made it good. (If you don't have a favorite book, then do this for the book you are currently reading.)

The best book i have ever read is the Leven Lhumps series. a reason it is my favorite because it is a fiction book and those are my favorites. I also like it becasue it is very suspensful and intense (I LOVE intense books).

The book is about a 14 year old boy that is living with his aunt and uncle who hate him because his mom died when she gave birth to him =(. Then a creature named a sycophant comes to Leven and says that he is "the chosen one" or something like that. so he goes on a journey that will send him to a whole new world, and he meets some interesting people along the way.

If you had one superpower, what would it be and why? (Hint: describe exactly what your power would be, why you would want that one, what you would use your power for, etc. Would you be good or evil? Would you use it just for fun or for a good cause?)

I would have the power to teleport! Because then if you play any sports you could just teleport everywhere on the feild! To teleport you would just have to either look at that place or remember that place in your mind.

I would use it for fun (and evil!) If i needed to go somewhere i would just teleport there and i would be so cool! I would never have to walk down stairs! Or get up to get the the remote. If i were running a race because you could just teleport to the end bwahahahaha! woot woot!

For evil i would rob banks becuse i would teleport into the bank vault and just carry the money with me! and then i would be rich!!

What is an important tradition in your family? Do you have any special ways to celebrate holidays, important events, etc? :

One of my familys favorite traditions is to make doughnuts on Halloween. They are the best homemade doughnuts EVER!!!!!!! They are gooey and sort of and crispy on the outside! We coat them in either sugar or cinnamon sugar and deep fry them.

For Chritmas we dont really have any real unique traditions we preety much do the normal tree presents dinner etc. Except we always have this DELICOUS cake, it is chocolate and i dont really know what it is called other then (christmas cake!). that is our most unique tradition for christmas
